Kokan Development Agro Producer Co Ltd is a Farmer Producer Company from the Konkan region of Maharashtra, working to create greater value from authentic regional agricultural produce while improving opportunities for farmers.
Why we began
Konkan has rich agricultural traditions and distinctive produce, yet farmers can face challenges around market access, processing, manpower, technology and the wider economics of village life. Our work begins with a simple belief: regional agriculture should be able to create meaningful economic value for the people who grow it.
From Konkan, with farmers
Our company is rooted in Ratnagiri and the wider Konkan region. We have 750 registered farmer members and a wider network of more than 5,000 connected farmers across Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.
From produce to value
Our work connects farmers and regional produce with collection, processing, value addition and market access. We focus on products such as Konkan cashews, Ratnagiri Alphonso mangoes and pulp, coconut and coconut oil, kokum, jackfruit, black pepper, honey and other regional products.
Why a Farmer Producer Company
An FPC gives farmers a collective structure through which agricultural produce can be organized, value-added and taken to markets more effectively. Our aim is not simply to sell products, but to build a stronger connection between regional produce, customers and the farmers behind it.

Building capability
Our work has been supported through exposure to farmer-producer and agricultural development initiatives, including work with relevant agriculture institutions and programmes. Our directors and team have also undertaken training and exposure related to FPC management, warehousing and value-chain development.
Looking ahead
Konkan is our home and our starting point. We want to build a long-term business around authentic regional products, beginning with the produce and people of Konkan and creating a foundation that can grow beyond one region over time.
